Our purpose at The Mainspring is to create an online magazine and hub to showcase, highlight and elevate local businesses, entrepreneurs and creatives across Geelong and the region.

Please read: It’s devastating to see the lives, homes, wildlife and environment that are being lost as a result of the catastrophic bushfires across the country. With the current devastation across the country, we’ve been amazed at the many local businesses who are stepping up to raise funds, coordinate resources, donate proceeds and offer their help to support the work of emergency services in these areas. Huge congratulations to the Same Day IPA Brew Squad at @blackmansbrewery who got up at 4am this morning to package, keg and deliver the Hazy IPA in one day. Mammoth effort! Time to go out and buy one to try for yourselves🍻🍻🍻Image by Blackman’s Brewery.

Meet Harriet and her sidekick Fred 👋🐶 In amongst @natural_harry’s photos of delicious treats, sustainable wares and inspiring landscapes, you’ll often spot her dog, Fred. . The Koolie x Border Collie isn’t much help in the garden (he’s often looking for rabbits) or in taking photos, but he’s certainly great at posing for them!
